Thank You Skippy

Skippy The Bush Kangaroo Blog is celebrating TEN YEARS of blogging this week.

Man, that is a lot of Blogging!

I owe Skippy big time, as do countless other small blogs, because Skippy was the very first Big Name blogger to actually link to me, wayyyy back when I had only been around a comparably short time.

I have never forgotten that thrill and I never will.

Skippy, in partnership with the late Al Weisel, owner of the famous Jon Swift blog, got together and created  Blog Amnesty Day in response to the blood letting several years ago when some Big shot left wing blogs decided they didn’t need the little people anymore and purged hundreds of smaller blogs from their Blogrolls.

This Blog has been a proud participant every year since, where we open up our Blogrolls to any blog with less traffic and the whole thing just turns into a blast and you get to meet the neatest people and they get some much needed exposure, all for free.

This is just a couple of reasons why we love Skippy.

In truth, Skippy is one hell of a nice guy too.
