That’s A Pretty Neat Trick

How does one shoot themselves “several times”?
If ya didn’t do the job on the first try I would think that would be a sign.
Either that or this story has been spun like a top.

Update: Suspects found dead after botched Maypearl home invasion identified as Oklahoma teens

Original post, 9:18 p.m. Wednesday: Two men shot and killed themselves Wednesday after being interrupted during an attempted burglary in a rural area south of Maypearl, officials said.

Ellis County Sheriff deputies responded to a call from a home in the 2100 block of Bee Creek Road at about 12:20 p.m. A woman had witnessed two armed men trying to break into her home before calling her husband.

After reaching the house, the husband yelled at the men and grabbed a gun, authorities said. The suspects ran toward a field while firing toward the house. The husband, who suffered a superficial gunshot wound, fired after them, according to the sheriff’s office.

One of the suspects was found dead in an adjacent field. He had several gunshot wounds and is believed to have shot himself. The second suspect was found in a nearby pickup that was reported stolen in Oklahoma. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, said officials, who did not release the men’s names.

My bold.

Like I said, pretty neat trick.

Either way, those two fuckers won’t be bothering anybody else now.

H/T Fark for the link.

  1. Nah, I think this is more a case of the Sheriff saying “good riddance to bad garbage” and writing bullshit on the report so he doesn’t have to do that thing about arresting the guy who shot the scumbags for shooting them in the back. That’s how law enforcement works in the hinterlands, sometimes, and I for one am totally down with that :).
