The Answer Is Still NO.

I have been watching Cspan and following the news concerning Dianne Feinstein’s proposed assault weapons ban this morning.

Senator Ted Cruz from Texas underlines the premise of limiting the scope of constitutional protections in this proposed bill and asks Ms. Feinstein point blank if she thinks it is OK to let Congress pick and choose who and what is afforded protection under different articles of the Bill of Rights.

She instead gets all butt hurt and goes off about her bona fides and tries to duck the question.

Good for Cruz because he makes her answer it.

You can watch it here .

Everything I have seen or read points to Feinstein’s proposed weapons ban not having a snowballs chance in Hell of passing the Senate.

It is bad legislation based on emotion and not fact.
In effect, it would ban a completely legal semi automatic rifle for the mere act of adding a fucking piece of plastic to it, a hand grip, yet exempt the rifle with out it.
A fucking plastic handgrip changes absolutely nothing to the mechanical functionality of the rifle, it just changes its appearance and that, in Feinstein’s fucked up perception, makes it a scary fucking assault weapon.

mini 14

All four of those rifles in that picture are exactly the same model and are mechanically identical.

The only fucking difference between them is cosmetic. Different stocks, fore grips and other bolt on goodies.
It’s the same damn thing as putting a set of custom wheels on a God Damn Chevy.
Doesn’t make it run any better or go any faster, it just gives it a different appearance.

Yet according to this self proclaimed fucking “expert”, the bottom three rifles should be banned.
So you tell me, with all of the expertise and information available to this woman with a snap of her fingers, do you think she is “The One” who should be deciding what should and shouldn’t be legal when she obviously doesn’t know what the fuck she is talking about?

I don’t fucking think so.

  1. The Oath of Office:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

    Diane Feinstein:
“Congress is in the business of making the law. The Supreme Court interprets the law. If they strike down the law, they strike down the law.”

WTF? So you can just ignore your oath, write any damn law you feel like, and make SCOTUS clean up your bullshit?

  2. Sometimes in the evenings — for my personal amusement — I go over to the “Being Liberal’ Facebook page. One of the things those folks like to say, often, is “Ain’t Nobody Trying to Take Your Guns.” Oh really, there’s nothing in the world that Bitch Dianne Feinstein would like better than to confiscate all the guns in the hands of the public. I believe she is on record proclaiming that very thing.

Any assault weapon ban is bullshit. Things are already a little jiggy in this country. There ain’t no telling what kind of tools a man might need in the very near future

    Good post Busted.

  3. Senator Cruz is a needle-dicked pissant. His whole speech boils down to whether or not the Government can deem illegal something which would seem to fall under the Bill of Rights.

The answer is yes and without it being an infringement of the Constitution.

But, Gun Nutters and Second Amendment Fanatics believe their can be no restrictions on weaponry and they are wrong.

    1. I did see several needle-dicked asslickers in that video, they was all sitting next to that bitch Dianne.

    2. My point here is that people like Feinstein and Schumer are trying to get laws passed that affect virtually every citizen in this country without having the faintest idea of what they are actually talking about and have at their disposal any fact applicable but choose to ignore that and pass draconian laws just because they feel they have a political opportunity to do so.
The very definition of bad governance.

      1. Sure bad laws won’t help curb the massive Gun Violence Epidemic in America but there’s a difference between passing bad laws and whether or not laws can be passed at all.

      2. “…without having the faintest idea of what they are actually talking about and “…have at their disposal any fact applicable but choose to ignore that and pass draconian laws just because they feel they have a political opportunity to do so.”

Exactly right. It has more do with furthering the anti-gun agenda of the Left than it does with anything else. By increments they will take our rights. Fuck all those anti-gun nut jobs. “Shall Not Be Infringed” simple enough, even a Liberal should be able to understand that.

As for the “massive Gun Violence Epidemic” I say that is mostly a black issue. And there ain’t a damn thing any of us can do about that except stay out of their neighborhoods.

—>>> get a gun of your own and learn how to use it

  4. The assault weapons ban that was allowed to expire was found to have insignifant impact on weapons offenses during its 10 year applicabilitys. We should be much more vocal in our
opposition to the reference to semi-automatic weapons as “assalt weapons”. An assault rifle is one that can be operated FULLY AUTOMATICALLY. Such weapons are strictly licensed and controlled in the U.S.of A. I agree that when all the dust settles over the currentt hysteria, no bill prohibiting semi-auto weapons will become law. Keep up the good work, Busted.

  5. Sorry, Busted, but when you start saying “Good on Cruz”, I shall have to ask you to step outside. We may, and do, cordially disagree on guns, but Ted Cruz is an obnoxious McCarthyite and his witch-hunting and lying is far more dangerous to this country than the fact that you might not be able to have the AR-15 of your dreams.

  6. DiFi’s had a thing about guns ever since she walked into Mayor George Moscone’s office and found him dead in a pool of blood, assassinated by Dan White. It’s not a subject she’s rational about, and pointing that fact out is like pointing out that water is wet. Just sayin’.
