A Little Perspective

Are you tired of all the political ads?

The bad news you see everyday about death and killing and suffering?

Is life in general getting you down?

I want you to try something, it will only take a few minutes but it will change your perspective.

See this picture?

That is part of the Milky Way, a collection of stars that are quite literally uncountable.

I put that there so you will know what you are going to look at.

Now I want you to click on a link after you read the following instructions.

Click on the link, it will take you to another picture of the Milky Way.

There will be clickable icons at the bottom.

Go to the next to the last icon on the right and click it, it will make the picture full screen and enable the rest of the icons.

Shift the picture right, left, up or down or just leave it where it is, just pick a spot.

Now, start clicking on the plus button slowly to magnify the picture.

Do this about thirty times, slowly.

When it stops, take a long look at the screen and realize that every single tiny little white dot on your screen is a star.

A star very likely to have planets circling around it.

Remember that thought.

Now slowly back all the way out to the original picture and think about this election or the bad news and ask yourself just how important is it, really?

Here is the link, Start Clicking.

H/T to Simply Left Behind for the link.
